Optimalisasi Penerapan Tri Hita Karana dalam Pembentukan Karakter Sosial Siswa di Sekolah

This study aims to examine the application of Tri Hita Karana values in the development of social character in elementary school students, with a focus on enhancing empathy, social awareness, and a sense of environmental responsibility. Tri Hita Karana, a concept of local wisdom from Bali, emphasizes the harmonious relationship between humans, others, and nature. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach with a case study design, involving in-depth interviews, direct observation, and document analysis related to Tri Hita Karana-based activities in schools. The research findings indicate that although the implementation of Tri Hita Karana has a positive impact on students' social character, its application is still not fully integrated into the curriculum and students' daily lives. This study contributes to the development of character education based on local cultural values, with an emphasis on the importance of integrating Tri Hita Karana values in all aspects of students' lives at school. In conclusion, this study provides new insights into the importance of implementing local wisdom in character education, which can serve as a model for character education in various regions with relevant local cultural contexts.
