Abstract

Hindu Religious Education and Budi Pekerti in elementary schools has been dominated by conventional methods that are verbalistic and do not involve students  real experiences. This article aims to examine the effectiveness of the Outdoor Learning Activity method in improving the understanding, spiritual attitudes, and religious practice skills of third grade students of SD Negeri Tulangampiang. This study used a descriptive quantitative approach with a one group pretest-posttest design. The research subjects were 29 students, with data collection through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and learning outcome tests. The hypothesis proposed is that the outdoor learning method can have a positive influence on the quality of Hindu Religious Education learning outcomes. The results showed a significant increase in all learning domains, both cognitive, affective, and psychomotor. This finding confirms that experiential learning conducted outside the classroom is able to internalise religious values more deeply and contextually. The contribution of this article lies in the development of alternative pedagogical approaches in Hindu religious education rooted in local culture and constructivistic learning principles. The results of this research are important to encourage learning innovations that are more transformative and applicable in shaping students  spiritual character in elementary schools.
