Penerapan Model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe group investigation (GI) Meningkatkan aktivitas belajar Pendidikan Agama Hindu

Hindu Religious Education learning at the secondary school level is often still conventional and does not involve students actively in the learning process. The low learning activities of students at UPT SMPN 3 Wotu, especially in discussion participation, courage to ask questions, and expressing opinions, are the background of this research. The purpose of this article is to examine the effectiveness of the application of the Group Investigation (GI) type cooperative learning model in improving student learning activities in Hindu Religious Education subjects. This research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles, involving 19 students of class VIII as research subjects, with observation and documentation techniques as the main instruments. The hypothesis tested was that the GI model was able to significantly increase students learning activities. The results showed that the average student learning activity increased from 62.1percent in cycle I to 82.3percent in cycle II, reflecting the success of the collaborative learning strategy in activating student involvement. The contribution of this research lies in the expansion of the application of the GI model into the realm of Hindu Religious Education, which has rarely been studied, as well as opening up opportunities for innovation in more participatory religious learning methodologies. This finding confirms the importance of a social constructivism-based approach in reviving the learning of spiritual and moral values in the classroom.
