Penerapan Model PAIKEM Pada Pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Hindu dan Budi Pekerti Terhadap Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Siswa

This study aims to disseminate the effect of the application of the PAIKEM model in the learning of Hindu Religious Education and Character Building on the critical thinking skills of eighth grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Mataram. This study uses a descriptive quantitative associative method with an ex post facto design. This study uses the theory of cognitivism by Ausubel and the theory of constructivism by Vygotsky as the basis of the study. This study was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Mataram with a sample of 102 students through a stratified random sampling technique. Data collection techniques in this study through observation, questionnaires and documentation with the results of the data analyzed with the help of SPSS 25.0 software. Based on the results of the data analysis, the average value (mean) of the level of application of the PAIKEM model (X) was 74.68 with a percentage of 56.86% in the sufficient category and the average value (mean) of the level of critical thinking skills (Y) was 73.43 with a percentage of 57.84% in the sufficient category. Hypothesis analysis using a simple regression test through the table coefficient obtained a significant level value of 0.000 small then 0.05 and a calculated t value of 13.105, then t table = (a/2;n–k–1) = (0.05/2;102–2–1) = (0.025;99) = 1.98422 so it can be concluded that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted which means that there is a significant influence of the application of the PAIKEM model in learning Hindu Religious Education and Character Education on the critical thinking skills of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Mataram.
