Pengaruh Media Audio Visual Terhadap Hasil Belajar Siswa Pada Pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Hindu dan Budi Pekerti

The development of technology in the digital era requires the education sector to optimize the use of learning facilities. However, in practice, the utilization of facilities in schools is still not optimal, resulting in monotonous and less engaging learning processes. This condition can reduce students' interest in learning and increase absenteeism. This study aims to determine the effect of audio-visual media on students’ learning outcomes in Hindu Religious Education and Character Education subjects at SMP Negeri 14 Mataram. The research employed an associative quantitative approach with an ex-post facto method, referring to the theories of cognitivism, behaviorism and Ausubel's meaningful learning theory. The sample consisted of 100 Hindu students from grade VIII. Data were collected through a closed questionnaire using a Likert scale and documentation of odd semester report card scores. Data analysis was conducted using Microsoft Excel 2016 and SPSS 25. The results showed that the use of audio-visual media obtained an average questionnaire score of 149.90, categorized as fairly good, while the report card scores showed an average of 89.39, categorized as very good. Statistical testing indicated a significance of 0.000 to 0.05, which confirms a significant influence of audio-visual media on student’s learning outcomes. This media has been proven to improve students' understanding, motivation, creativity, and learning focus. Therefore, audio-visual media contributes positively to enhancing student’s academic performance in a comprehensive and sustainable manner.
