Pemberian Ice Breaking Terhadap Konsetnrasi belajar siswa kelas VIII pada pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Hindu dan Budi Pekerti

This study aims to analyze the effect of implementing ice-breaking activities on the learning concentration of eighth-grade students in Hindu Religious Education and Character Education at SMPN 5 Mataram. The background arises from observed declines in students’ focus due to classroom monotony. Data was collected through teacher interviews, classroom observation, and documentation. The study draws upon constructivist and active learning theories that emphasize student interaction and participation. A quantitative associative approach with ex-post facto design was used. The sample consisted of 98 students using a saturated sampling technique. Research instruments were validated and tested for reliability. Data analysis was conducted using simple linear regression with SPSS software. Results show a significant influence of ice breaking on student concentration, with a determination coefficient of 37.3% and a significance value of 0.000. The alternative hypothesis was accepted while the null hypothesis was rejected. The study recommends that teachers optimize the use of Ice-Breaking activities to enhance student learning focus.
