Pendekatan Terapi Bermain Dalam Regulasi Emosi Anak Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD): Perspektif Pendidik

Early childhood is an important period in individual development, including in dealing with problems such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). ADHD leads to difficulties in controlling impulses, attention and emotional regulation, which can interfere with a child's social and academic development. Children with ADHD need support, especially in formal education, to overcome the challenges they face. One effective approach in helping them is play therapy, which provides opportunities to manage emotions and behavior through fun games. This study aims to analyze the effect of play therapy on the ability to regulate emotions in children with ADHD. This study uses qualitative research methods and case studies. This data was collected through observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed that play therapy had a significant positive impact on the ability of children with ADHD to recognize and manage emotions. Children who underwent play therapy showed improvements in emotional regulation, although there were still challenges in concentration and impulse control. This therapy can be an effective approach, of course depending on the role of educators in providing consistent stimulation and regular evaluation for optimal results.
