Keterlibatan Peran Ayah Terhadap Perkembangan Kognitif Anak Usia Dini

This study aims to explore and analyze the influence of paternal involvement on the cognitive development of early childhood. Paternal involvement has garnered attention due to its increasingly recognized role in shaping child development. The research methodology employed a longitudinal study approach, collecting data through observations and interviews with fathers, along with measuring children's cognitive development through validated assessments. The findings revealed that paternal involvement significantly impacts the cognitive development of children in early stages. Fathers actively engaged in their children's daily lives tended to have children with enhanced cognitive abilities. The interactions established between fathers and children, particularly in learning activities and exploration, emerged as pivotal factors in boosting children's cognitive abilities. Furthermore, fathers' parenting styles played a crucial role in children's cognitive development. Responsive, affectionate parenting approaches that provided suitable stimuli aligned with children's developmental stages contributed positively to their cognitive abilities. This research highlights the importance of paternal roles in the cognitive development of early childhood, emphasizing the need for heightened awareness and support for paternal involvement in fostering environments conducive to children's cognitive growth. The implications of these findings could serve as a foundation for intervention programs aimed at enhancing the quality of father-child interactions and parenting patterns that support children's cognitive advancement.
