This study aimed to describe the learning process and improvement in religious and moral development among children aged 4–5 years through the use of a picture-based Big Book at Amanah Kindergarten, Tebing Kaning Village, Arma Jaya District, North Bengkulu Regency. The study was conducted because several children had not consistently demonstrated religious and moral behaviors, including greeting others, praying before and after activities, being honest, respecting others, and using polite expressions. The study employed Classroom Action Research based on the Kemmis and McTaggart model, which included planning, action, observation, and reflection. The participants were 18 children, and the intervention was conducted in two cycles, with three meetings in each cycle. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and performance assessment. The data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis and simple quantitative analysis in the form of percentages. The findings indicated an improvement in children’s religious and moral development across the cycles. In Cycle II, more than 75% of the children achieved the Expected Development and Very Good Development categories. Improvements were observed in greeting, praying, honesty, mutual respect, and polite behavior. The picture-based Big Book helped children understand examples of appropriate behavior through large illustrations, simple stories, shared reading, guided questions, and repeated practice. Therefore, the picture-based Big Book supported the improvement of religious and moral development within the context of the classroom studied.
