Strategi Pembelajaran Menggunakan Media Video Dalam Peningkatan Kompetensi Guru Agama Hindu Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri Kota Mataram

Education is the key to the future of the country, especially in the face of the times and curriculum changes. Teachers as educators must continue to innovate to improve the quality of learning and student interest, especially in the modern digitalization era in the industrial revolution 4.0 and civil society 5.0. This study aims to examine learning strategies using video media in improving the competence of Hinduism teachers in Mataram City State Senior High School (SMA). The research method used is qualitative with a field research approach and narrative type. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation studies with triangulation techniques to check the validity of the data. The results showed that making learning video media is effective in improving teachers professional competence, although it still faces various obstacles such as technological limitations, lack of adequate shooting places, and editing and uploading processes. The training on making learning videos held by the West Nusa Tenggara Province Hindu Religious Education Subject Teacher Conference is one of the solutions to overcome these obstacles. Video media used by teachers in learning can help explain material that is difficult to understand if only using verbal speech, and encourage a more active and enjoyable learning process. Learning strategies using video media are necessary to educate students effectively and efficiently. This is also related to increasing the pedagogical and professional competence of teachers which can be obtained through relevant trainings. This study concludes that the use of video media is very helpful in the teaching and learning process and has the potential to improve the quality of Hinduism education in public high schools in Mataram City, although it still needs to overcome various technical and non-technical obstacles.
